ASSTRA is a H2020 Marie Sklodowska-Curie ITN European Industrial Doctorate training program. ASSTRA is the acronym for "Advanced Solid-State Transformers”. This interdisciplinary training program researches the development of advanced solid-state transformer technology in DC-equipped energy supply systems.
As a Marie Curie Innovative Training Network, ASSTRA will train 2 early stage researchers (ESRs) in this field, raising their academic standards and practical engineering skills as well as developing a powerful research network across Europe.
ASSTRA involves two partners in the network, the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in the Netherlands and the ABB Corporate Research Center in Switzerland.
